Joe Correia was born in Portugal in 1945. He moved to the United States in 1970 and has made The USA his permanent home.
In the past 40 years America has been Joe’s canvas for a very broad range of professional experiences from corporate management to college educator, curriculum developer for educational fields varying from K through 12 and college levels, and filmmaker mostly in the educational/commercial/defense markets.; however, he always has found time for his love of the arts.
Joe has served in The USA Army as a combat photographer, he is also a photojournalist and illustrator. Some of his clients are international companies such as General Dynamics, Atlantic Research Corporation, NASA, AMFUEL, and LTV to name a few. Among various dignitaries his portfolio includes, President Regan, President Clinton, Pope John Paul II, Jim Rodenberry, Connie Francis, James Earl Joans, James Wheatmore, Tippi Edrin, Billy D. Williams, David Brown, Chief Little Horse (last Living descendent of Geronimo) and Ken Burns.
Joe has traveled from coast to coast and from Florida to Alaska several times and has given lectures all around The USA. His lectures focus on sharing with the audience the experiences that he has had, what he has learned, and how his sense of spirituality and love for all life has continued to grow as he focuses on his passion for photography.
Joe has started a new approach to his work, which he calls: "Conducting Light." Joe selects various images and weaves them into a single visual message. "As a composer selects musicians to create a concert I select images to play a part of a broader and more complex piece" Joe says. With the coming of age of digital photography Joe creates what his heart feels with what his eyes show him.
"My life is my classroom, the universe is my Holly Book, the days are its pages, and each moment is a word. What I learn is simply how to live more intensely."
" For me life is all bout passion: the more you have of it the more intense life is and its lessons greater"
"Nothing gratifies me more than knowing that through something I may do or say, someone's heart is a little happier.
"The only thing we take with us is the love we give"
"When you fill your heart with love there is no room left for anything else"
Often those taken for your worse enemies, turn out to be some of your best friends in the long run. They may cause us great pain and suffering, however, they often bring with them an opportunity for us to grow to levels of wisdom that otherwise we might never experience.
When we start to see differences as contributions, and adversity as a challenge to make us greater, we are getting ready to enter a life of bliss that otherwise will be only a mystery.

Joe has also, since very early childhood, been exposed to very unusual experiences, from near death out of the body experiences, child abuse, to learning from various masters about sciences, esoterics, hypnotism, and philosophy. Joe speaks four languages: English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. From an early age he found himself in a position of confidante and spiritual supporter to ears and often others much older than he.
He also has published a book: “The Other Side of Light”

In the end, my friends, when it all had been said and done all we take with us is the love wee give

The searching into the unknown... where all the secrets are patiently waiting for us to find them!!!
The only permanence in this universe appears to be change. Like a river, life is an endless flow of changing information. Yet, there is a continuum that remains present in spite of change. What... or who is that?   Maybe the proper response to this observation may not be such question, or any question at all. Maybe we are meant to recognize this presence and just accept it at its face value, however is that we perceive it. Then go along with it and see where it leads us.   The problem I have with questioning is that we tend to justify or explain the unknown by using our knowledge as a base to rationalize what may be (and most often is) beyond

Greetings to all of you my dear friends out there on spaceship Earth and beyond.  Live is what happens outside of the plans we make as we intend to journey through it.  Often (if not always) what ends up along the path is not what we plan, expect, or even thought possible.  Even the path itself ends up being unrecognizable to what originally we may have visualized it. We can look at our life as a line in time drawn from birth to death, marked in space with an on-going sequence of events to which we call experiences.  Whatever the product of what our memory keeps from all the choices of interpretations of such events; to

To all my dear friends and follower artists The last quarter of the year has turned out extremely demanding.  As a result I have not had time to spend time doing what I love to do: spending time in contact with you.  I am taking this time to wish every one of you a wonderful Holiday / Christmas season and an awesomely great New Year. Hopefully soon I will be able to get back to having some quality time with you. Love and smiles from the heart, Joe PS: one of my dead lines was to produce a trailer for an upcoming documentary: BRAIN POWER You can see an upload (they messed up the ratio but is visible) at:  http://www.uams.edu/ctn/

I hope everything is alright with you, Joe. We miss you.
Happy birthday! :D
Hi Zé! Its birthday time yet again!! :iconyeeplz:

I hope you are keeping well - and continuing to share your "special" magic with humanity... Its a sad truism that the "older" humanity becomes the less "responsible" (ethical, sharing, loving) and the more "me first" (grabbing, dishonest etc..) it is..... May the world finally "hit the buffers" hard enough to hear the words that you and like minded people have been saying (including the Beatles): ALL there is is LOVE.

Blessings my friend!!! :manhug: :cake: Baloons for Bday by KmyGraphic
